Executive Coaching
Are you seeking to advance your career, get yourself unstuck from a place you can’t seem to get beyond or enhance your ability to get the best from yourself and others? Then why not explore executive coaching with me?
Clients describe their coaching experience with me as powerful because:
- They start in a wobbly space and end in a steadier one
- They get to know themselves better, what they stand for, won’t stand for and why
- They develop their capacity for holding conflicting feelings and internal tension
- They feel steadier even though nothing around them is steadier
- They leave with invisible toolkits at their fingertips that they didn’t have before
- They can look back and see how far they’ve come
Our time together in coaching sessions starts with a focus on the specific challenge you are grappling with, and I listen closely to your story as well as the way you share it. Your story might touch on personal motivations and disappointments, challenging organizational contexts, personality differences and disagreements. And possibly, running silently and unspoken beneath the story, hidden in the shadows, are engrained thought patterns, beliefs and assumptions that contribute to your growing sense of unease and turbulence.
Our partnership approach means that we’ll explore your story together. Our co-inquiry will surface new questions and unlock fresh perspectives and approaches for you going forward. The Raising Doves Co-Inquiry Grid highlights some examples of the sorts of questions that sometimes emerge. Often our coaching starts with a question emerging in one domain with the answer to it surfacing in another. And that’s part of the power of coaching – in the way that questions make the invisible visible, surfacing fresh insights and connections that enable you to join your own dots in a way that only you can, and from there your performance can soar to new levels. I wonder what questions you are holding?
“My coaching sessions with Helen have been invaluable in supporting me as I work to develop my leadership capabilities. The sessions provide a safe space for me to engage in discussion, reflection and planning. They give me an opportunity to revisit and better understand my recent experiences and to carefully consider what may lie ahead and how I can plan the next steps in my leadership journey. In contrast to my experience of leadership programmes, coaching has given me the opportunity for important and deep thinking about my leadership approach, with Helen providing a perfect balance of support and challenge. If you have not experienced coaching, then I highly recommend it and in my view there is no one better than Helen to guide you along the way.”
